France – Chamonix – Sunrise at Lac Blanc (black and white version)
Despite the wonderful and delicate colors I really like the black and white version of this scenery. The amazing structure of the mountains and the incredible reflections don't get distracted by the colors.

France – Chamonix – Full Moon Night at Lac de Chesery
To be exact, it was a 90% full moon night
Nevertheless, spending a night at Lac de Chesery is always an amazing experience. The breathtaking scenery of illuminated mountains (Dome du Gouter, Mont Blanc, Aiguille du Midi, Mont Maudit, Grandes Jorasses, Aiguille de Triolet..) by the full moon and the amazing reflection at Lac de Chesery is every effort worth. I didn't used a tent (only sleeping bag) because the night was mild and the sky was bright with stars. I counted seven falling stars, placed one wish and fell asleep....
Enjoy the Mont-Blanc scenery.
Regards,
Gerry

Croatia – Long road to the Mali Halan Pass
The long road to the Mali Halan Pass offers a scenic view to the Mount Tulove Grede. Driving through this highly karstic area was on the one hand very exciting, but on the other hand the hundreds of mine field warning signs .... created a strange feeling. So, hiking is definitely not recommended!
Enjoy the ride.

Switzerland – Etang de la Gruere B&W
Color or B&W - what do you prefer? I personally tend to the B&W version due to the strong contrast and forms.
Have a great day.

Switzerland – Etang de la Gruere
I visited the small lake "Etang de la Gruere" today that is located very close to Saignelegier, Canton of Jura / Switzerland. My Hassy did a superb job and captured the difference in brightness very well.
Enjoy the tranquility

Switzerland – Zermatt – a special Moment in Life

I had the pleasure to stay another night at Stellisee and to photograph this special morning mood. The night was unbelievable clear and the stars including the view of the "Milky Way" was breathtaking. Before I closed my eyes I saw three falling stars ...and I did make some wishes.
So, enjoy the special morning mood which lasted only a couple of minutes - a peaceful moment in life.

Switzerland – Uri – Goescheneralpsee – Bergsee
Above the Göscheneralpsee, which is an artificial lake in the municipality of Goeschenen in Canon Uri, Central Switzerland, is this beautiful natural lake called "Bergsee" located. The hike to this lake is not very long but my legs will remember the many, many steps - my equipment is definitely to heavy. Nevertheless, I got rewarded by this beautiful scenery. By the way, staying over night was an easy game because a nice SAC "Swiss Alpine Club" cottage "Bergseehütte" is located next to the lake.
Enjoy the sunrise scenery.

Hawaii – Kauai -Taro Field

The flooded taro field, called kalo lo'i, is an ancient way of life in Hawaii. I visited this place many times and never was the reflection or the view of the mountains that perfect.
Enjoy the morning reflection.

Hawaii – Kauai – Hanalei Sunset Pier

Hi folks
I want to let everyone know that I'm back from my vacation now. Kauai is really a special exotic destination. Yes, traveling from Europe to Hawaii isn't a short weekend trip but it's really worth. Once you are there you will be rewarded with wonderful impressions which are really unique. So, the pleasant part, having the pleasure and making photographs is over and now starts the real work - post-processing. So, let's start with a first sunset shot "Hanalei Sunset Pier" which I took in Hanalei. The luck was a little bit on my side because the moon was rising to the same time.
Enjoy the sunset.
Regards,
Gerry
