The sun was behind a "fat" dark cloud and I was a little bit disappointed about this lost opportunity ... but hope dies last and I got rewarded by a purple mood.
Enjoy the purple mood.

Hi folks
I want to let everyone know that I'm back from my vacation now. Kauai is really a special exotic destination. Yes, traveling from Europe to Hawaii isn't a short weekend trip but it's really worth. Once you are there you will be rewarded with wonderful impressions which are really unique. So, the pleasant part, having the pleasure and making photographs is over and now starts the real work - post-processing. So, let's start with a first sunset shot "Hanalei Sunset Pier" which I took in Hanalei. The luck was a little bit on my side because the moon was rising to the same time.
Enjoy the sunset.

Gerry

The break is earned after a busy day.....

Normally I prefer the black&white interpretation of the Oyster scenery. But this time I couldn't resist to post the sleeping Oyster pier in color. Enjoy the post sunset glow.

A high-key long shutter composition (around 120 sec) of one of the many lighthouses at Ile d'Ouessant. The various shades were created by the heavy tide change and its streaming.

Saint-Valery-en-Caux is a typical French seaside town. The main attraction is of course the high limestone cliffs, laid down in layers with horizontal lines of flints. The striking cliffs are the result of a rough sea which has eroded the limestone over the years.

I was amazed by the pink granit rocks around the Ploumanac'h Lighthouse. I photographed this scene long after sunset during high tide. That's why a long exposure of 30 seconds was required. The B&W development even intensified the structure of the pink granit.
